Members of the Drafting Committee – Indian Constitution

Drafting Committee :- Drafting committee was structured on 29^th August 1947 after passing a resolution to discuss on the format of Indian constitution prepared by Mr. V. N. Rao. This Drafting committee presented its report to the Constitutional Assembly on 21st February 1948 after completing its discussion on the  format of Indian Constitution. 

The members of the Drafting Committee for Indian Constitution are as follows :-

Ø  Dr. B. R. Ambedkar            →     Chairman of the Committee.

Ø  Alladi Krishna Swami Ayyar.

Ø  K. M. Munshi (Kanahiyalal Maniklal Munshi).

Ø  N.G.S. Ayangar (N. Gopal Swami Ayangar).

Ø  Md. Sadullah.

Ø  N. Madhav Rao (In place of B. L. Mitra, who was the member for few days).

Ø  D.P. Khetan (T. Krishnamachari after Khetan’s death in 1948).
