SSC Square of Natural Numbers Ending with Zero (0)

                                      Square chapter is the much needed part of the simplification/ Mathematical calculation. Square means multiplication of natural number with itself. You have calculated square of natural number in primary section many times but here I am going to guide you for faster calculation of square with the help of some tricks.
If you have learnt the square of natural numbers from 1 to 25 then this tricky method of calculation of square of other numbers will help you to save your time in calculation but practice is needed & compulsory. Its a expert advice not to avoid it.
Lets proceed with this chapter..........

Ø  Square of the natural numbers ending with zero (0)

102 = 100   (2 zeros at the end)                     1002 = 10000  (4 zeros at the end)

202 = 400   (2 zeros at the end)                     1102 = 12100  (2 zeros at the end)

302 = 900   (2 zeros at the end)                     1502 = 22500  (2 zeros at the end)

402 = 1600  (2 zeros at the end)                    10002 = 1000000  (6 zeros at the end)

502 = 2500  (2 zeros at the end)                    10102 = 1020100  (2 zeros at the end)

Method :-
Step 1St :-  First of all hide all the consecutive zero at the end of the given number & consider the given number without zero at the end.

 Example given number is 1202 → consider this number as only 12 (as number  of consecutive zeros at the end of gien number is 1).

Step 2nd  :- Now calculate the square of considered number.

In the example we have considered 120 as only 12. now 122 = 144

Step 3rd  :- Now follow the above calculated square with the double number of zeros as present in the original given number.

In the example we have calculated 144, which will followed by 2-zeros (just double of the number of zeros as present in the given number like this 14400, which is the required answer of 1202
